She was a beautiful and doting mother of nine children; loving, caring and supportive she will be greatly missed.
Rose was born in Gallo (Naples) Italy and came to America at the age of four. Sadly, losing both her parents at a very young age she was raised with relatives in Cincinnati, OH.
Married to Attilio Marconi in 1943, they raised their children on farms in both Middletown and Trenton, OH. She has resided in Naples, FL since 1973. Volunteering for several years at St. Ann Catholic Church, Rose became President of St. Ann’s Council of Catholic Women. She was very active with the ladies arts and crafts activities and was part of the group who worked to establish St. Vincent De Paul with Father Goggin (former priest at St. Ann’s).
Rose is preceded in death by her loving husband Attilio Marconi of 53 years and the recent passing of her eldest daughter, Gloria Wolner.
She sadly leaves behind eight children; Joe (Marianne) Marconi, Mario (Debbie) Marconi, Attilio (Elise) Marconi Jr., Roseann Marconi (Charlie Ostrander), Anita (Jim) Jarbo, Gina Marconi, Michael (Sherrie) Marconi, and Rick (Mary) Marconi; and son-in-law, John Wolner. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, her half brother Richard (Ida) Palumbo of Trenton, MI and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at St. Ann Catholic Church, 985 3rd St. S., Naples, FL, Friday, June 8th at 10:00 am with the funeral mass following at St. Ann at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Naples Memorial Gardens.
