Rosella June Ross

Born Rosella June Long on May 6th 1926 in Mosquito Township, Mt Auburn IL to Earl and Millie Long. She was one of three siblings and is proceeded in death by her parents, brother, Victor Long and sister in law Mary Long.

Rosella graduated from Mt. Auburn high school, the class of 1944 She met her husband Harold Ross in high school and they married at the family farm on July 17th, 1946

Rosella and Harold moved from Illinois to Naples, Florida in 1967

Rosella is survived by her husband, Harold, son, Lyle Ross and daughter in law Lisa of Huntington Beach, CA; son, Lynn Ross of Naples, FL; daughter Sally Ross of Naples, Fl; and brother Dean Long and sister in law Jane of Taylorville, IL.

Rosella is also survived by three grandchildren, Devon Smith of Greenville, Ohio; Nick Ross of Naples, Fl and Kathryn Ross of Naples, Fl, great grandson Bryce Smith of Greenville, Ohio, an adopted grand daughter Valentine Antel of Bonita Springs FL, nieces and nephews and many others who called Rosella “Mom “or “Grandma”.

Rosella worked at Gattles Linens for many years as well as manager of the gift shop at the Beach Club Hotel. Harold worked for the Collier county school system in the transportation department and is currently working at Publix.

Rosella and Harold are longtime members of Grace Lutheran Church, 860 Banyan Blvd. Naples FL 34102, and funeral services will be held at the church on Saturday, Feb 28th with visitation from 9-11am; funeral services at 11:00am with a luncheon immediately following the service. After the luncheon there will be a short service at Naples Memorial Gardens.
