Sara C. Cox Arrowsmith

Naples, FL

On January 26, 2011, Sara Cox Arrowsmith peacefully passed away.

Born in Basking, New Jersey on October 10, 1942, Sara’s life was always filled with a love of animals, riding and teaching horseback riding along with the bevy of dogs and cats surrounding her.

Upon graduation from Kent Place School and Bennett College, Sara worked for Vogue, Brides and Glamour magazines in New York as an Associate Editor.

Sara met her husband, David skiing in Vermont and becoming married, moved to live and work in Toronto, Ontario for 30 years as General Manager of Mameco, an industrial paint company before retiring to Naples.

Sara was a talented stained glass artist, enjoying working together with her artist husband.

She will be missed most by her husband who was her best friend and lover. Sara was a wonderful mother to her sons, David Jr. and Todd. She also leaves her brother, David, also residing in Naples as well as her Corgi, Boo.

Sara will be most remembered for her wonderful, outgoing personality, always finding something good in a person.

Tennis became her love upon coming to Naples where she met some wonderful people.

A memorial Service will be held at Hodges Funeral Home, 525 111th Ave., North, Naples, Florida 34108 at 11 AM Saturday, February 5th, 2011.
