Stella was one of the special people I always looked forward to visiting with at the USS Sea Poacher reunions.  She was one of the most friendly and gracious people I've ever met.  So sorry for your loss (and ours).  She deserves a great big house in heaven.

So sorry to see such a vibrant lady pass. She will be missed. It's a blessing and a curse that she went so quickly. She didn't suffer but there wasn't enough time to spend. Make no mistake though- she is in Heaven and taking care of business up there!  All my love.

Joe I am heartbroken and was so looking forward to spending time with Stella in North Carolina.  I knew Stella was exceptional the first time I met her.  I also know she is in a glorious place now and watching over you everyday. You and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers.  Our deepest sympathy.

P.S.  I will always fondly remember Aunt Stell. We had a lot of fun at the family reunions in Cottam at the farm, but I was afraid that Randy was going to blow up the barn with his experiments. I will never forget visiting your family in Connecticut where we got to tour a real submarine.  There was a big back yard with a lot of trees and an above ground pool. Ronnie & Randy told Lisa & I to make sure we didn't pee in the pool.....we didn't.

Joe & Family both Carol  & I are saddened to hear of Stella's passing. She was a wonderful lady, We always enjoyed the few times that we had with both of you. She had wonderful smile and always made all feel so welcome.  I know this a tough time for you, we both offer our condolences and prayers to the Murdoch Family in this time of sorrow.

Stella was a truly wonderful person, very graceful and always a pleasure to be around.  She will make heaven that much better and brighter.  We last saw her at Aunt Edna's funeral and had a nice visit with her a couple months before that.  No doubt you will miss her immensely.  Although she was my cousin's aunt (Dan, Laurie, Sandra, Shelley, and Dawn), you always felt like she was a friend.  We are very fortunate to have known her and thank you for sharing her with so many.  (On behalf of Nancy (Morris), Joan, and Stephanie Murchison.)

Joe and family,  We never saw Stella when she wasn't smiling.  That says a lot for the love you shared, and the wonderful life you had together.  God bless you with peace and comfort and know that her love goes on.

Joe - What a shock it was today to hear of Stella's passing. Our deepest sympathies and our hearts go out to you and sons, Ron and Randy.  "Steeda"  was always so special to us and we have great memories of the fun times our families shared in Connecticut.  In later years we enjoyed the times that you and Stella stopped by for a visit and perhaps an overnight stay on your way to or from Florida or New Hampshire. I think the most recent was perhaps three years ago when we spent most of the time laughing and reminiscing at the Fish Tale restaurant and later at our home.  I can still hear her laughter.  God, we will miss her, Joe.
