Sylvia Mary Hutton

She was preceded in death by Alan, her loving husband of 70 years, in 2017. Sylvia and Alan met during WWII in Birmingham, England and married in 1946.

Alan and Sylvia travelled together to various countries with their young family, as Alan enhanced his aeronautical engineering career. After leaving the UK, they lived in Nigeria, Africa and Toronto, Canada before settling in the US.

They retired together to Florida in 1987. They also maintained a summer home in North Carolina.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emilia (Clue) Roughton and two brothers, John and George.

Sylvia is survived by her two children, David (Kathy) and Kay; four grandchildren, Kara and Brent (Julie), Katelen (Bryan) and Garrett (Megan); seven great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Sheila and Heather.

A private Memorial Service will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Sylvia’s name.
