Bill was married to Gloria V. Zimmerman on September 16, 1950. They were married for 67 years. Bill was the father of Claudia and husband Kim, Linda, and Dean and wife Kim. Grandfather to Cory, Cody, Derek and Amber.
Bill served in the Army for 16 years achieving rank of Captain. During his time in the Army, he attended and graduated from Hillsdale College. Bill also received 3 Bronze Battle Stars for his valor in World War II. After serving his time in the Army, Bill worked at Ford Motor Company for 36 years and retired in 1988. During retirement, Bill loved to spend time at this summer cottage on Cedar Island, biking everyday, and spending time with family.
Bill was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
