Winifred "Winnie" Stanley

Winifred "Winnie" Stanley, 95, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, at Avow Hospice in Naples, Florida. Born on May 2, 1930, to Eva Storter McGill and Harry McGill in Everglades City, Florida; Winnie was raised in Naples by her loving grandparents, Nancy Elizabeth and Robert Bembury Storter.

Winnie was the youngest of eight children and lived a life filled with grace, strength, and style. She was a devoted wife, known for her love, care, and dedication to her family. An avid and athletic tennis player, Winnie's competitive spirit was matched only by her warmth and laughter. She was always "dressed to the nines," complete with her signature tastefully bold jewelry that perfectly captured her sparkling personality.

She deeply cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, finding her greatest joy in the love and laughter of her family.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Richard M. Stanley; her beloved son, Joseph "Joey" Gratton; and her great-granddaughter, Rylie Lynn Walker.

Winnie is survived by her son, Ron Stanley (Ginny); her daughter, Kim Gratton; and her daughter-in-law, Priscilla Gratton. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Holly Walker (Jon), Richie Stanley (Kathy), Shaunna Rohletter (Daniel), Brock Gratton (Michelle), Blake Gratton (Brittany), and Courtney Krehling (Troy); as well as fourteen great-grandchildren who will forever carry her love in their hearts.

The family requests you wear bright colors to celebrate Winnie's vibrant life. Visitation will be Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108 with the funeral beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will be immediately following. Beer, wine, and hors d'oeuvres will follow in the wine room.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Winnie Stanley's name to Avow Hospice in gratitude for their extraordinary care and compassion for our sweet Nana.
