Anna DeRose Catalano of Nanuet, NY, 84 years old, passed away with her daughter by her side on October 24, 2026. She is survived by her only child (Angela Daguanno), son-in-law (Frank) and two precious granddaughters (Victoria and Lauren), as well as her youngest brother (Ottavio DeRose). She was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Franco, as well as 6 of her 8 siblings. She cherished her time spent with family, especially with her granddaughters, who were the light of her life.
Anna was born in Cosenza, Italy to Cesare and Ersilia DeRose, on January 19, 1942. Anna married the love of her life, Franco, in 1966 in New York, and raised their daughter together, first in Yonkers, then in West Nyack, New York. Her love for her family was paramount to everything else, and was her greatest treasure.
Visitation will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., 321 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956, US, on October 28, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi's Church, 128 Parrott Rd, West Nyack, NY 10994, US, on October 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Entombment will take place at Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Rd, Airmont, NY 10952, US, on October 29, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
