Brenda Marie Mannix, 79 of Nanuet, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 17, 2026. She is survived by her three sons, Stephen (Vicky), Sean (Barbara), and Tim (Marisa). She is also survived by three grandchildren, Olivia, Madison, and Cora. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Joseph.
Known for her outspoken nature and strong convictions, Brenda was never one to shy away from expressing her opinions. She had a particular passion for politics and enjoyed a spirited discussion, especially when she felt strongly about an issue.
Brenda was born on July 18, 1947, in Queens, NY, to Patrick and Rose Ann Daly. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and homemaker, Brenda dedicated her life to creating a loving and welcoming home to her husband and three sons. She was the heart of the family, providing unwavering love, support, humor and encouragement throughout the years. Her strong will, spirited personality, and devotion to those closest to her will be fondly remembered by her family and all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 23, at 10 AM at Saint Augustine’s Church at 118 Main Street in New City, followed by a burial in Ascension Cemetery in Airmont, NY.
