Charles Joseph Carbonaro

Charles Carbonaro of Nanuet, NY passed away peacefully on June 17th, 2026 at the age of 95.

Charles was the predeceased by his beloved wife Sally, the love of his life in 2014.He is survived by his 3 children, Theresa (Gerard), Peter (Valerie), and Kathy.Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Meredith), Stefanie (Nic) and Nicholas (Amanda). Greatgrandfather of Brayden, Spencer, Hadley, Cameron and Logan. Loving son of the late Mary & Joseph Carbonaro.Beloved brother of the late Joseph Carbonaro and brother-in-law of Carmin and the late Lillian, Rena, Bernard, Anna, & Florence. Survived by many nieces & nephews.

Charles was born in 1930 in Auburn, NY. A graduate of St. Bonaventure University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1955-57. He worked most of his career as a microbiologist at Lederle Laboratory in Pearl River. Devoted parishioner of St. Anthony's Parish and his many friends at the St. Anthony's Senior Group. Both Sally & Charlie worked tirelessly helping, calling & visiting many others in need.

Charlie was truly a remarkable man who lived his life highlighted by kindness, integrity, and unwavering love for his family, Church & country.

Family will receive visitors on Friday afternoon from 1pm to 5pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, New City, NY. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place Saturday at 11:30 at St. Anthony's Shrine Church followed by interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Anthony's Church, 36 West Nyack Road, Nanuet NY. 10954
