

Christopher “Chris” Cucuzza, age 29, of New Windsor, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 29, 2025. He was born on February 8, 1996, in Nyack, New York.
Chris was a cherished son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and sense of humor touched all who knew him. He was known for his generous heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering loyalty to his loved ones.
Chris was a graduate of SUNY Oneonta and was employed at West Point Military Academy, where he proudly served cadets as a recreational associate at Arvin Gym assisting cadets with their rigorous physical conditioning. He was also a dedicated volunteer with the Cornwall Fire Department and EMS, serving his community with commitment and selflessness.
Chris loved to travel , particularly his annual visits to Disney World. He embraced new experiences, and he especially enjoyed discovering new foods, dining out, and trying new places and activities whenever he could. A devoted New York Yankees fan, he also enjoyed following his team and sharing that enthusiasm with family and friends. He took pride in being a New Yorker and spent many weekends exploring New York City. Chris was very passionate about cooking and was always eager to gather as a family on Sundays to share his newest Italian recipes. He was an avid movie and TV series fan who could quote chapter and verse many lines from his favorite show “The Sopranos.”
Chris is survived by his loving mother, Jill; his father, Joseph; his sister, Jackie; and his brother, John, along with extended family and many friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
A celebration of Chris’s life will be held. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service, 321 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956. A church service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, 10:00AM at St. Augustine’s Church in New City, New York.
Chris’s kindness, laughter, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
