Ingrid Louise Schoch (age 84) of Nanuet, New York, died September 27, 2021. Ingrid was born on April 17, 1937 to Ernest H. and Emma (Broucham) Berger. She graduated from Nyack High School and majored in biology at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA. She was employed as a research scientist by Lederle Laboratories.
Ingrid married Richard R. Schoch at Grace Baptist Church in Nanuet on May 5, 1968. Soon after, they settled in Nanuet and were life-long members of the Nanuet community. For many years, Ingrid was engaged in the ministries and worship at Grace Baptist Church. She was also active in the local senior center.
Ingrid is predeceased by her husband, Richard R. Schoch who died on March 10, 2009. She is survived by Carol Ann (Schoch) Vorosmarti, Rockville, MD; nephews James Vorosmarti III (and wife Beth) of Peachtree City, GA, and Richard Stefan Vorosmarti (and wife Alice) of Silver Spring, MD as well as her niece, Erika Lynn McCullough of Norfolk, VA. She will be missed by her great-nieces and great-nephews, James Vorosmarti IV, Grace Vorosmarti, Henry Vorosmarti, William Vorosmarti, Katie McCullough, and Matthew McCullough.
Ingrid will be buried next to her loving husband at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ on Saturday, October 9, 2021. The graveside service will begin at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels of Rockland County New York.
