Margaret Mary McElroy (Peggy). She was 95. Peggy was born on 12-11-30 in Haverstraw, NY, to Harriet and Thomas Turner. She graduated from St. Peter’s School in 1947. Married the love of her life, Edward C. McElroy (Sam), on 11-19-50.
Peggy has always worked to keep family bonded, as her parents had done before. She helped raise and babysit many family children and helped many where needed. She hosted family dinners and picnics. We all remember the wonderful foods and desserts she made. She gathered us many times at very large family reunions.
Peggy found so much joy in growing some of the most beautiful flower gardens. She also volunteered her time to help grow the gardens at the Immaculate Conception Church and School. She also did much of the cleaning and ironing of the church linens. Peg has always been a devout Catholic, and we are sure she is tending heaven’s gardens.
