Richard Burton

Richard “Richie” Burton died July 22, 2013 at home. Richard was born in Yonkers, NY to parents, Marvin Sr., and Ann (Taylor) Burton. He is predeceased by his father, Marvin Sr., and brothers, Marvin Jr. and George. Richard is survived by his mother, Ann; brothers, Bob of Nanuet, and Donald and wife, Laura of Denver, CO; nephews, Michael, Matthew, Peter, and Thomas; nieces, Corey, Megan and Maria; and family members, Donna Burton, and Tod Limoli. Richard attended Jess Kaplan and ARC of Congers. Richard enjoyed watching the Yankees and Mets games and all other sports. He loved music and singing. Richard was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main St., New City, NY 10956. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 25th 11:30 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, Nanuet, NY. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richie’s memory may be made to ARC of Rockland, 25 Hemlock Drive, Congers, NY 10920 or the Nanuet Community Ambulance Corps, PO Box 152, Nanuet, NY 10954.
