Stephen P. Tuzzolino

Stephen Paul Tuzzolino, 92, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully and was surrounded by his immediate family on Friday afternoon, August 21st, 2026. Stephen was born on December 3rd 1933 to Paul and Rosalia Tuzzolino. He is preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Mary Tuzzolino (1934-1967) his first-born son Stephen George Tuzzolino (1955-2021), brother Vincent (1928 2026), brother Joseph (1930-1996) and sister-in-law Dorothy (1927-2021).

Stephen, also called Dad, Daddy, Grampa, and Stevie is survived by his life partner Diane Gloria Ingvaldsen; his three children: Susan Patrice (her husband John), Scott Vincent (his husband David), and Todd Joseph Tuzzolino (his wife Lauri); and three granddaughters: Amelia Patrice, Mia Sophia, and Madison Rose (his partner in crime) along with many cousins, nieces and nephews who adored him. He was always happy enjoying the company of his children, grandchildren and family.

Stephen was also a proud member of the U.S coastguard. The U.S. The Coast Guard deploys specialized ice-breaking cutters along the Hudson River to maintain safe, navigable waterways during brutal winter freezes. Back in the days when the Hudson froze (before global warming and climate change) Stephen Paul was on board. We got to enjoy his 8mm film reels as proof. He was proud. As we were of him.

Stephen was a great vegetable gardener and kept his family and the neighborhood fed all summer and fall. He was also a beekeeper and tended two hives supplying dark, raw honey for the entire neighborhood. He loved fishing and sitting on the beach in Connecticut, while his children swam in the Long Island Sound.

In the 70's he took road trips with his three teenagers in tow to far off lands like Canada, New England, Washington, D.C and The Amish Country.

Later in Florida he enjoyed Ormond by the Sea and Clearwater with his Florida family. He loved going to Walt Disney World with his kids and granddaughters.

Stephen Paul was well loved by his children and his granddaughters; they loved hearing all his stories about his big Italian family; and Stephen loved attending all the events in which his granddaughters are involved: musicals, orchestra, jazz band, and sports. He loved reading stories and playing games with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

A wake will be at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service 321 S Main St, New City, NY 10956 on August 31st at 8:30 and followed by his funeral mass at St. Anthony's 36 West Nyack road Nanuet, NY 10954
