He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Selma Abide and his brother, Raymond Abide.
Abe is survived by his dear friend, Cynthia Andersen, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved pet dog, Jack.
Abe was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on September 15, 1930. He owned and operated his business on Carondelet Street in New Orleans, Liberty Camera, from 1958 until Hurricane Katrina in 2005. After 2005, he continued his work as a videographer. He loved travelling, especially to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, which he did countless times over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, 1401 Louisa St. in New Orleans, on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 10:00AM.
