On Sunday, November 12, 2017, Adele Yost Faucheux passed from this life at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adele Wilson Yost and Richard Edmond Yost; her husband of forty-nine years, Fred Anthony Faucheux; and her daughter Elisabeth Adele Faucheux Robert. A native of New Orleans, Adele resided in Metairie for many years and was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Faucheux Losee and son-in-law John; her daughter Linda Anne Faucheux; son-in-law Craig Michael Robert; grandson Stephen Andrew Losee; and granddaughter Ashley Elisabeth Poss and her husband, Morgan. She also leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Jewel Yost Cappel and Muriel Yost Surcouf; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Adele was a graduate of Eleanor McMain High School, attended Louisiana State University, and graduated from Soule Business College. She enjoyed travel, puzzles, gardening, and reading; possessed an incisive and rigorous intelligence and a caring heart; and will be missed, as she was loved, by many. The family wishes to thank all who brought joy to Adele in her lifetime, and particularly in this last year. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, from noon until the celebration of Mass at two o’clock.
