Adrianne Swan Giovingo entered eternal rest on April 5, 2026, at the age of 91. A devoted and cherished wife to the late Pascal Albert Giovingo Jr., she was the loving mother of Gary Albert Giovingo and Michael Steven Giovingo Sr. (Anne). She was the proud grandmother of Amanda G. Placer (Patrick), Michael S. Giovingo Jr., and Jacqueline Melissa Argue, and the adoring great-grandmother of Lance, Riley, Peyton, and Abigail. She was the beloved daughter of the late Harold John Swan Sr. and Anna Ferrara, and the sister of Harold John Swan Jr., Catherine C. Clayton, Paul Swan, and Yvonne Najolia.

A native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Metairie, Adrianne was known from an early age for her kindness, gentle spirit, and generous heart. She married the love of her life in 1953, and together they built a home that radiated unconditional love, faith, and grace. In her early years, she worked as a bank teller before choosing to devote herself full-time to her family, providing a warm and nurturing home for all who entered.

Adrianne was especially known for her beautiful Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations, lovingly preparing meals that took days of planning and cooking. Her door was always open, and she welcomed family, friends, and neighbors with a good meal, a hot cup of coffee, and a heartfelt conversation. She formed many lasting friendships and touched countless lives with her compassion and hospitality.

A woman of deep Catholic faith, Adrianne faithfully attended Mass every Saturday afternoon and prayed the rosary each night. Her faith sustained her throughout her life and was an shining example to all who knew her. In her later years, she greatly enjoyed traveling on cruises with her husband and friends, creating treasured memories along the way.

Above all, Adrianne cherished her family. She was always there when needed, offering comfort, guidance, and unwavering support. She will be remembered for her warmth, her beautiful smile, and the peace and love she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
