She was born in Joliet, Illinois on March 5, 1938 to Dr. Edward A. and Marie (Hucek) Dainko. She graduated from Barat College of the Sacred Heart in Lake Forest, Illinois.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Julia L. Dainko and Marilyn Dainko Takacs and her brother Rainer Robert Dainko; survived by brother, Dr. Edward A. Dainko II, Dana Point, CA.
She will be remembered lovingly by her husband of 58 years, Pierre “Val” Valcour Miller. She was the devoted and loving mother of Pierre V. Miller II (Kelly, deceased), Alyson Rau (John), Marc (Susan), Collin, and Erich (Jodi). She is the loving grandmother of Pierre “Coury” V. Miller III, Andrew P. Miller, Harper J. Miller, Elise M. Miller , Mary Cathryn Rau, Elisabeth G. Rau, John “Jack” Rau II, Jacqueline M. Miller, Bridget M. Miller, Marc “Owen” O. Miller Jr., Matthew F. Miller, Mary Clare Miller, Sam O. Miller. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Adrienne was a long time member of the “Children of Mary.” She was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Metairie and a devout Catholic who was presented with the Order of St. Louis medal by the Archdiocese of New Orleans. She was dedicated to religious education – participating in the “Come Lord Jesus” program at Mt. Carmel High School, conducting for the parish of St. Francis Xavier “Life in the Spirit” seminars and RCIA programs. Along with her husband she also worked with many engaged couples preparing them for marriage in the “Evenings for the Engaged” program. She served as Eucharistic minister at St. Francis Xavier.
She will be remembered for her strong devotion to the Lord, her love of Jesus and His blessed mother Mary and her love for family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, Monday, September 24, 2018 at 9:00am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Internment will be at a later date.
Masses preferred.
