Agnes Rigdon Goux

Agnes Rigdon Goux, age 87 years, entered into her peaceful rest on Thursday, September 2, 2021. She was a native of Little Rock, Mississippi, and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 22 years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Seeman Joseph Goux; parents, James Thomas Rigdon “PaPa Tom” and Mary Lauella Goforth Rigdon “Mama Lou”; sisters, Lorene Smith, Fannie May Warren, Catherine McGee, and Jewel Rigdon; brothers, Curney Rigdon, Norris Rigdon, and JC Rigdon; and her grandson, Matthew Seeman Gaudin.

Agnes is survived by her loving children, Brenda Goux Gaudin (Gregg) and Sonya Marie Goux; a sister, Gladys Scruggs; a brother, Kenneth Rigdon; grandchildren, Joshua Alfred Gaudin (Lindsey), Seth Joseph Gaudin, and Shannon Joseph Goux; and great grandchildren, RaeLee Gaudin, Rhyder Gaudin, and Carleigh Gaudin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Agnes was born in Neshoba County, Mississippi on April 11, 1934. She worked in financial assistance at Tulane University in New Orleans for over 15 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 2:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. The interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery at All Saints Mausoleum.
