He was the brother of Brenda Ackers Williams, Chester Ackers (Brenda), the late: Lillie Dean Hampton, Abram Ackers, and Elton Ackers and Veronica Becnel.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Amelia Ackers and Elizabeth Ackers.
Albert was father to Barbara Adkins, Wanda Brooks (Jeffery), Darnell Webster (La Candis), Darrell Webster, Jennifer Webster, Karen Cola, and the late Albert Ackers Howard. Albert had 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9 AM with a Christian service following at 10 AM. Albert will be laid to rest in Lake Lawn Park immediately after the services have concluded.
