Alma Casse Torre, age 96 years, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Azeo Leonard Torre. Mother of Zaira Melton (Gene Melton), Charmaine Torre, and Leonard Azeo Torre (Regina Torre). Daughter of the late Joseph Casse and Alma Bolhalter Casse. Sister of Alexis Casse, Helmuth Casse and the late Celeste Dorner. Grandmother of Dr. Kirk Melton, Keith Melton, Korry Melton, Marco Torre, and Azeo Torre. Also survived by 8 great grandchildren. Mrs. Torre was a former longtime employee of D.H. Holmes in Metairie and was an avid volunteer at East Jefferson General Hospital. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph of Harahan and Hospice Associates for their love and care. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 11:00am.
