Alton Ray Anderson

Ray is survived by his parents Honorable Mayor Carlton Anderson and Peggy Anderson of Houghton, LA; partner of 14 years Lester Falgout; sister Carla Nesbit (Chris); maternal grandmother Josephine Smith; nephews Matthew and Marshall Nesbit; niece Meagan Nesbit.

Ray graduated from Parkway High School, 81’ and attended LSU. While at LSU he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. Ray enjoyed many years helping the physically and mentally handicapped. Most recently Ray was a paralegal and computer specialist in various law firms in New Orleans, working on many class action trials. Ray was very active in numerous Mardi Gras organizations including, Krewe of Armeinius, King of Krewe of Morpheus, 07’, King of Krewe of Petronius, 12’ and was a supporting friend of Krewe of Alla. Ray and Lester loved to travel the world. He will be remembered for his unsurpassed kindness and generosity.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at First Presbyterian Church, 5401 S. Claiborne Ave, New Orleans on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:00pm, The Rev. Fred Powell, III will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm. Interment will be private.
