Alton (Papa) McCaskill Sr. age 82, entered into heavenly rest on Friday, November 20, 2015 at home. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Esther Hammond McCaskill and siblings Willie, LV, James, Eulas, Ezell, Cylde, AZ, Earttie, Bullock, Myra, Louise, Mary and Welton. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie “Big Mama” McCaskill. "Devoted" father of Alton (Bell) McCaskill Jr. of LaPlace, Sandra (Howard) Reed, Lorena (William) Bridges, Stafford (Jolene) of Houston, Texas and Robert (Temiko) of Kennesaw, Georgia. Proud grandfather of Washington, Latoya, Kyle, Keisha, Alton III, Brandon, Brittany, Kayla, Jessica, Caitlynn, Big Kayla, Robert, Christopher and Saniya and great grandfather of 13.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Homecoming Celebration at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La. 70124 on Saturday, November 28, 2015. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and Services to begin at 12:00 p.m.
