Alveretta “Alzie” Wall passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Virgil (Bud) Wall. Daughter of the late Earl Wattigny and Jaunette Toma Gray. Mother of Virgil Wall Jr., Jaunette Mascair, Terri Wall, and Brian Wall. Grandmother of Shannon Austin, Janell Mascair, Joseph Huse, James Wall, Jennifer Wall, Blaine Wall, Brandon Wall, Taylor Wall and Haleigh Wall. Great-grandmother Jordan Mascair, Ira Austin, Aiden Austin, and Anna Grace Austin. Sister of the late Earl Wattigny, Shirley Jacob, and Afra Stromboe. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Alzie will be deeply missed by all. She enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and rarely missed a Mardi Gras parade. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans.
