Alvin Henry Flattmann passed away in Baton Rouge on November 11, 2022 at the age of 89. He was born in New Orleans on June 15, 1933 to Henry and Mildred Flattmann. He went on to serve his country as a member of the United States Army. After a career in the roofing industry, he retired to spend time with his family. Alvin was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.
He was the beloved husband of 57 years to the late Emelda Marie Kilburn Flattmann.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna Falk (Edward), and Cheryl LoCascio (Lloyd); grandchildren, Jennifer Caldarera (Salvador), Stephanie Dauzat (Blaine), Olivia Chauncy (Tyler), and Morgan LoCascio; and great grandchildren, Paul Caldarera, Dominic Caldarera, Luca Caldarera, Beau Dauzat, Duke Dauzat, and Collins Chauncy.
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mildred Flattmann; sister, Carol Pellegrini; and grandson, Logan LoCascio.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staffs of Magnolia Brooks Senior Living in Baton Rouge and Hospice of Baton Rouge.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 1 PM. Visitation will begin at 11 AM. A graveside service will follow Mass in Lake Lawn Park.
