Amara Rivera Jorge

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved baby girl, Amara Rivera Jorge, who was born on December 7, 2025, and passed away on April 8, 2026, at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the NICU where she both entered and departed this world.

Amara’s life, though brief, was filled with love, strength, and purpose. She faced genetic complications from birth, which prevented her from ever leaving the hospital and going home. Despite these challenges, Amara touched the lives of everyone around her with her quiet strength and the love she inspired.

She is lovingly remembered by her parents, Abigail Jorge Torres and John Rivera Pomales, and her big sister, Abby Rivera Jorge, age 7, who adored her deeply. Amara’s family, from Gautier, Mississippi, remained by her side every moment of her four months of life, united in love, faith, and unwavering support, providing her with constant care and comfort.

Though her time on earth was short, Amara’s impact will last forever in the hearts of those who loved her. She brought light, unity, and a deeper understanding of unconditional love to her family.
