

Amy Johnson Altiero, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 at the age of 68. Amy was born on March 10, 1955 in Fort Hood, Texas, grew up in Brown City, Michigan and went on to attend Michigan State University. Amy met her husband Nick in East Lansing, Michigan, where they resided until 2000 when they moved to New Orleans, Louisiana. She enjoyed home renovation and interior design completing four major home remodels over the years. Amy was a voracious reader who had nearly 3,000 books in her Kindle. She loved to cook and host gatherings where she refused to hire a caterer, making her events memorable and personal.
Cherished wife of Nicholas James Altiero for 44 years. Daughter of Kathryn Halmich Johnson and the late Wilbur Andrew Johnson. Loving mother of Elizabeth Poziemski (Joseph Poziemski). Sister of David Johnson (Joan Johnson) and the late Peter Johnson (Kim Johnson). Adoring grandmother of Addison Poziemski.
