Born in Honduras on July 26, 1936, Anita devoted her life to her family. She was a devoted wife to Guillermo Salgado, a loving mother, a talented seamstress, and a homemaker whose hands and heart were always busy caring for the people she loved.
Anita was genuine, authentic, and kind. She was hardworking and deeply devoted to her family. She made sure her children had what they needed and, many times, she found a way to give them what they wanted, too. Her love was expressed through everything she did: the work of her hands, the warmth of her home, and the countless sacrifices she made for those around her.
She had a special gift for bringing people together. Thanksgiving was especially meaningful to Anita. She loved opening her home to family and friends, filling it with food, laughter, conversation, and the people she cherished most. Those gatherings became treasured memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who experienced them.
To her family, Anita was more than a mother and grandmother. She was a source of strength, comfort, generosity, and unconditional love. She gave so much of herself to those around her, asking for little in return. She leaves behind a beautiful family and a lasting legacy of love.
Anita is survived by her beloved husband, Guillermo Salgado; her children, Marco Salgado, Juan Antonio Salgado, and Rosa Maria Salgado; loving daughter-in-law, Luisa Salgado; grandchildren, Jennifer Del Carmen Salgado, Marco Jose Salgado, Kendall Bania, Colby Salgado, Luis Antonio Salgado and Juan Diego Salgado; great-grandchildren, Mason Salgado, Sadie Salgado, and Krystian Duarte; and her sisters, Vicenta “Chi Cho” Rodriguez Romero and Lila Rodriguez!
Though Anita is no longer with us in the way we wish she could be, her love remains stitched into the fabric of her family, into every memory, every tradition, every gathering around the table, and every life she touched. Her hands may be still, but the love she created will never be. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. May she rest peacefully, surrounded by the eternal love she so freely gave to others.
