

Anna Maria LaRocca Baker passed away on March 14, 2025 at the age of 73. She was born on May 29, 1951 in Mussomeli, Caltanisetta, Sicily. She attended the University of New Orleans and became the secretary of the vice president of Chevron. Anna was very devout in her faith. She lead the rosary every week at her living center, where she took on the role of ambassador. She was very creative in many different endeavors- interior design, jewelry, floral arranging, and even making chocolate candies.
Anna was preceded in death by her spouse of 28 years, Thomas Richardson Baker; parents, Vincento LaRocca and Calogero Ricotta; and brother, Carmelo LaRocca.
She is survived by her son, Ernest J. Baker, step-daughter, Michele Baker Marshall; step-son, Tom baker; brother, Joseph R. LaRocca; and grandchildren, Molly Baker, Megan Baker, Blake Baker, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to her best friend, Marilyn Spadora as well as her caregiver, Arleen Rhodes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 4337 Sal Lentini Pkwy in Kenner, Louisiana, on Friday, March 28, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10 AM with Mass to follow at 11 AM. She will be laid to rest in All Saints Mausoleum in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Family requests Masses, in lieu of flowers.
