

Annie Maxine Krider Angell passed away peacefully in her home on February 1, 2022 at the age of 90 years. She was born on December 7, 1931 to the late Robert George Krider and Eula Sanders Krider in Gretna, LA.
After receiving her nursing diploma from Hotel Dieu School of Nursing, she worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years before retiring from Ochsner Hospital and East Jefferson Hospital. She was a parishioner of St. Benilde since its inception in 1968. She was also a member of St. Benilde’s Cher Amie’s Club. She enjoyed square dancing and belonged to Pelican Squares and Sunrise. She loved traveling, reading mystery novels, and enjoying family time with her 5 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, her sister, Joyce Parker; and her brother, Robert Krider, Jr.
She is survived by: her devoted husband of 66 years, Eugene Joseph Angell; her daughters, Pamela Angell Wetzel (John) and Deborah Angell Serio (Wayne); and her grandchildren, Gregory Serio, Catherine Serio, Christopher Serio, Angela Wetzel, and Jason Wetzel.
The family would like to give their special thanks to all the sitters that cared for her, including those provided by Nursing Registry, Home Care Solutions and the Staff of Passages Hospice.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at St. Benilde Catholic Church, 1901 Division Street, Metairie, LA 70001 on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in Metairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request any donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or masses to St. Benilde Catholic Church in her memory.
