

Annie (Ann) Luxich Piper, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. She was born on August 13, 1939 in Picayune, MS, and was the daughter of Raphael L. Luxich and Thelma Depreo Luxich. She graduated in 1957 from Picayune High School, and has lived in Kenner until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Oneila Tupper, and brother, Ralph Luxich.
She is survived by her sister, Judy (Earl) McKay; half-sister, Janet Wiggins and her four children, Gayle (Anthony) Britz, Gregory (Lauren) Piper, Theresa Piper, and Mark (Carla) Piper; ten grandchildren, Melody, Christine, Gregory, Jr., John, Jr. (Katy), Nicholas, Carley, Chloe, Josephine, Paulo, and Julia; five great grandchildren, Liam, Delilah, Lily, Bart, and Axel; and several nieces and nephews.
Ann was a devoted Catholic and a committed adorer at Divine Mercy Parish. She loved being with her family and friends. She was very talented, and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and embroidering, especially with her children and grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Notre Dame Home Hospice, especially to Anne Marie, Barbara, Melanie, Kim, Pastor Tom, Mr. Pat, and Jake, for their guidance and compassion, and to her sitters, Carolyn (June), Patricia, and Sarah, for the wonderful care she received.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass at All Saints Mausoleum (in Metairie Cemetery).
