

Ansley Stewart Garrard, 28,passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, July 12, 2014.Born in Mobile, Alabama, August 26, 1985, Ansley grew up in Montgomery, Alabama. She attended Trinity Presbyterian School and then the University of Alabama. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She has lived in New Orleans, La.,the past six years and was making plans to relocate to Mobile, AL, of which she was very excited about. Ansley made an impression on every-one she met and deeply loved her friends and pets. She had a talent to fill a room with laughter and a laugh that would brighten anyone's day.She loved cheering on the New Orleans Saints and Alabama Crimson Tide. She loved singing, dancing and playing with her dogs, Tallulah and Roux.Ansley was a beautiful person and was loved by all who knew her. Her friends enjoyed her energy, spirit and her humor.Her friends enjoyed talking and sharing with her about her faith in Jesus. She is survived by her parents Dr. R.M. (Chip)and Linda Garrard of Montgomery, Al; her brother Mat-thew M. (Charlotte) Garrard of Mobile, AL, and their beautiful two children Matthew and William, who Ansley adored. She is also survived by her grand-mother Dolly Fortenberry of New Orleans, La; aunts: Bris(Paul Manouvrier) Campbell of New Orleans, La; Karen (Steve)Simone of New Orleans; Leslie(Bill) Drewery of Franklin, Tn.and their children Wes andGrey; Dianne (Michael) Happel of Metairie, La. and their children Claire, Grant and Peter and her uncles David ( Alice) Fortenberry of Kalispel, Mt.and their children Robert,Miles, Arden and Nelson;Stephen Fortenberry of New Orleans, La. Cousins include William Marshall of New Orleans; Patrick (Melissa) Camp-bell of Baton Rouge La., and their children Jackson andGreyson; Jennifer Woods(Wesley Salmon) of Baton Rouge, La.; Caroline Woods of Atlanta, Ga. Ansley's vibrant spirit and zest for life will be celebrated this Friday, July 18,2014, at 11 a.m. in Lake Lawn Chapel in New Orleans. Burial will be in the Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans. Visitation for family will begin at 9:00a.m. and 9:30 a.m. for general public. A reception for all family and friends will be held at the New Orleans Country Club immediately following the service.
