Anthony Iannazzo Krummel

Anthony I. Krummel passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from Mesothelioma. By his side was his beloved wife, Michelle Roberts Krummel. He was 64 years old. Son of the late William J. Krummel, Sr. and Rose I. Krummel. Tony is survived by his children Jaime K. Smith and Jason Krummel, and his step-daughter Annette Davis who never left his side during his illness. Grandchildren are Karina Pisani, Hunter Pisani, Preston Krummel, Haley Krummel and Kevin Krummel. Brother of William Krummel, Jr. (Kathy) and twin sister Linda Krummel LeBlanc (Dan). He is also being mourned by his beloved dogs, Princess, Buddy and Sassy. Tony graduated from Brother Martin High School in 1971 and attended The University of Southern Mississippi. After school, his second home was on the river. Over his 48 years of working along the Mississippi, he touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with. He loved football, fishing and having friends over for a simple barbeque, but he especially loved motorcycles and enjoyed many years riding. He and Michelle spent many bike nights together and enjoyed riding his motorcycle to the French Quarter. He was a kind gentle person who embraced his illness with great dignity and strength. The family would like to thank and acknowledge the Russell Marine Group and Reilly Foods Company for their kindness and generosity during Tony’s last few months. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Noon at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 400 Codifer Blvd. (at Bonnabel Blvd.)Metairie, LA. On Monday, February 5, 2018.
