Antoinette Lalla Pichon

Antoinette Lalla Pichon, a retired nurse anesthetist, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the age of 95. She was the beloved widow of the late Raymond J. Pichon and daughter of Antonia (Lena) Cuccia Lalla and Nicholas Lalla. Mrs. Pichon was born in New Orleans and lived in Diamondhead, MS for 25 years before moving to Metairie, where she lived for 8 years before residing at Our Lady of Wisdom in New Orleans. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy High School and Hotel Dieu School of Nursing, where she received a degree as a registered nurse (R. N.). Mrs. Pichon also graduated from Charity School of Anesthesia as a certified nurse anesthetist (CRNA). She worked as a highly respected nurse anesthetist at Baptist Hospital for forty years. She was a member of the Diamondhead Country Club, Krewe of Diamondhead, the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2880, the Plimsoll Club, and a longtime member of the Elenian Club.

She is survived by one sister, Anna Lalla Morrow, and one brother, Dominick Lalla, and is the sister of the late Leonard D. Lalla and Nicholas J. Lalla.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
