Audrey Maestri Borne

Audrey Kuttruff Maestri Borne was born on October 28, 1926, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Mae Burke Kuttruff and Manthey A. Kuttruff. Audrey passed away in Covington, Louisiana on Saturday, October 1O, 2026, at the age of 99 years old.

Beloved wife by first marriage to the late Paul Maestri, Jr. Lt CDR (USN) and by second marriage to the late Clayton J. Borne, Jr. CDR (USN). She was also preceded in death by her brother Noel Ray Kuttruff, her granddaughter Jennifer Rae Maestri and her daughter-in-law Bonnie O'Brien Maestri and stepson Clayton J. Borne Ill.

Adoring Grandmother of Dan, Jr., Donnie, Casey, Paul, Michael, Amy, Emily, Jonathan, Jordan, Veronica, Mickey, Paul C., Christopher, Megan, Madaline, Timothy, Matthew, and Mary Margaret. Also survived by 33 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Stepmother of Carol B. Spencer. Step grandmother of 4 and step great grandmother of 8.

Audrey graduated from Mount Carmel Academy in 1944. She attended Dominican College and later became an assistant Coordinator/ Office Manager for St. Bernard Council on Aging for 25 years.

A Funeral Mass was held in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Interment followed in Metairie Cemetery.
