Audrey Appel Evans

She was the loving wife of the late Elwyn C. Evans, beloved mother of Audrey E. Prather (Thomas) and Donald E. Evans (late Carolyn Evans), sister of the late Edward J. Appel, Jr., Floyd “Dutch” Appel, Marion Appel Long, Shirley Appel Counts and Ralph L. Appel, daughter of the late Cora Davidson Appel and Edward J. Appel, Sr., grandmother of Rhonda Prather, Shannon P. Schembri, Bradley Prather, Allen Evans, Carrie Evans, great-grandmother of Madison Peters, Logan Peters, Brian Evans, Brandon Evans, Breanna Evans, Isabella “Izzy” Evans, Parker Lundsford, Chase Lundsford, Graham Prather, Ty Prather, Ainsley Prather and Tate Prather, and great-great-grandmother of Carolyn Evans . She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The services will be on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. The visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. The interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park.
