Audrey Claiborne Olister, (90 yrs.) of Metairie, La., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Tuesday morning, August 30, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, D.J. “Budd” Olister, Jr. and her parents, Olga and Arthur Claiborne. Survived by her children, Karen Olister LeBlanc (Larry), D.J. Buddy Olister, III (Laura), Gary Olister, Lori Olister Green (Dale), Staci Olister Champlin (Stephen) and her loving grandchildren, Jennifer LeBlanc, Zachary LeBlanc (Ana), Tyle Olister, Garret Olister, Delaney Olister, Nicholas Green, Aubrey Champlin, Adeline Champlin, and her niece, Memory Baumer. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Metairie, LA., secretary of St. Benilde Elementary School for almost 20 years and owner of Olister’s Napoleon Room in Metairie. She and her husband were members of WeDK. Special thanks to Dr. Alan Yager and staff and her devoted caretakers, Rosemary, Carroll, Margaret, Chevalle, Danette, Leanora, Charmaine and Nesice. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until service time.
