Barbara Bloom Edmond

Barbara Ann Bloom Edmond peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Barbara was born in and was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. She is survived by her children, Leon H. Edmond IV (wife, Amy Kent Edmond) and Ann Edmond Keown, DVM (husband, Nicholas V. Keown); grandchildren, Leon K. Edmond, Logan H. Edmond, Colette M. Keown, and Claire J. Keown; sister, Carol B. Paine; brother, Richard W. Bloom; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon H. Edmond III; her parents, J. D. Bloom, Jr. and Lucille Otto Bloom; her brother, J. D. Bloom, III; and sisters, Kay B. North and Elizabeth B. Riester. Barbara graduated from Mercy Academy and Loyola University New Orleans. She was an accountant, tax preparer, and business manager. Barbara loved the memories that she made at the house in Mandeville, loved spending time with her grandchildren, and loved to see her children be happy. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.
