Barbara Levert Kahle

Barbara "Baboo" Levert Kahle, widow of Reichard Maunsell Kahle, passed away Friday, August 5th, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Edward Louis Levert and the late Barbara McMillan Levert. She is survived by her son, Reichard Maunsell Kahle, Jr. (Monica), daughters, Amelie Kahle Perdue (Bill) and Julie Folwell Kahle, and two granddaughters, Katherine and Leslie Kahle. She is also survived by her brother, Edward Louis Levert, Jr. (Lyn), niece, nephews, and many cousins. Baboo spent most of her life in New Orleans before moving to Covington. She graduated from the Louise S. McGehee School and attended LSU and Newcomb College, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She was a sustaining member of the Junior League of New Orleans. Baboo loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with her children in the mountains of North Carolina, as well as Charleston, SC. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a visitation at LAKELAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. with Mass at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment in Metairie Cemetery.
