Barry Jules Bache

Barry Jules Bache passed away in Pass Christian, Mississippi, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the age of 79. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 1, 1947. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from SLU, he went on to a career in fine jewelry that spanned over 50 years. He worked as a gemologist and manager at Lee Michael’s Fine Jewelry.

While in college, he was a member of TKE Fraternity. He collected both Mardi Gras and Mr. Bingle memorabilia. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, going to Disney World and Saints games, listening to oldies, and Friday Night Cards.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jules Bache and Victoria Babin Bache.

Barry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cheryl Meibaum Bache; daughter, Bonnie Michele Bache Patrolia (Brian); son, Steven Paul Bache (Lisa); grandchildren, Bailey and Breanne Patrolia and Brandon, Cody, and Jackson Bache.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Monday, March 2, 2026. Visitation will begin at 11 AM with a graveside service following at 1 PM. Barry will be laid to rest in Lake Lawn Park located at 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans.
