

Barry M. Flach, Sr., of Kenner, Louisiana, died on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. He was 77 years of age. Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph Joseph Flach, Sr. and Claire Alfortish Flach; sister, Judith Flach Prevou; and brother, Adolph Joseph Flach, Jr.
Barry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carol Blush Flach; three beloved children, Barry “Rusty” M. Flach, Jr. (Tina), and Michelle Flach Bruno (Marlo); a sister, Nancy F. Habisreitinger (Robert); sister-in-law, Clare Uzee; six grandchildren, Vincent J. Bruno, Sr. (Erica), Kristen E. Bruno (fiancé, Christopher), Marlena B. Castro (Owen), Michael R. Flach, Jr., Cody Flach, and Anthony M. Bruno; and five great-grandchildren, Vincent J. Bruno, Jr., Alyson C. Varuso, Marlie Bruno, Noran Bruno, and Sadie Wells – Ciolino. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Barry was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and earned an associate’s degree from Delgado Community College. He was a master machinist with Dresser-Rand for 28 years. He enjoyed shrimping, fishing, hunting, woodworking, and net making and repair. He was a jack-of-all-trades. He would help everyone and anyone. Barry will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Barry and Carol’s special friend, June Bertucci Daffan, and to the staff of Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care.
A private service and interment will be held for the family.
