Barry John Negrotto

Barry John Negrotto, 69, of New Orleans, LA. died peacefully in his sleep on October 28, 2014 after a long battle with bladder cancer. Barry is survived by his beloved wife, Jacque O’Rourke Negrotto. Loving father of the late Melinda Lee Ray. He is also survived by his sister, Bonnie N. Mims (Dale), his brother, Brian Negrotto (Katherine), two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, his mother-in-law, Connie O’Rourke, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Yvonne Rittiner Negrotto.

Barry was a supervisor with the State of Louisiana Office of Family Support in New Orleans and was retired.

Honorary pallbearers are John Sullivan, Ted O’Rourke, Dale Mims, Mike McClenan, Steve Wilson, Clyde Gilmore, Jerry Blaine, Lennie Daigle, Jared Mims, Jennifer Price, Brian Negrotto, Jr., Bryan O’Rourke, Sean O’Rourke, Michael O’Rourke, Redus Day, and Bob Salisbury.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00AM.
