Bayton Duplantis

Bayton Anthony Duplantis passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at the age of 73. Bayton is survived by his wife of 36 years Judy Hopkins Duplantis; children Darren Duplantis, David Duplantis & partner Christopher Nordquist, and Seth & wife Lizzie Duplantis; brother Bob Duplantis; grandchildren Paige and Annie Duplantis, Julia Nordquist Duplantis and June Duplantis. Bayton is preceded in death by his son Dwayne Duplantis and his parents Herminie & BJ Duplantis. Bayton was born in New Orleans on September 24, 1940. He owned and operated Duplantis Forwarding Company and Admiral Maritime Company. Bayton was a lifelong member of St. Martin’s Episcopal School Boosters Club. He was an avid outdoorsman with a special passion for golf and fishing. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014.
