

Sandra passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 13th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in 1942, in San Antonio, Texas while her father was fighting in WWII. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nolan Joseph Barron and Ludie Mary Dubroc Barron, both of Plaucheville, Louisiana.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband, David M. Haspel and her beautiful daughters Jennifer A. Haspel, Cheryl E. Haspel and Celise B. Baker (Bill). She is also survived by her grandchildren Madison McDavitt, Barron P. Baker and Andress S. Baker, and her sisters, Mary Jane Roussel (Tim) and Joy Guillory (Brent) and her niece Marissa Guillory of Denver, Colorado.
Sandra grew up in New Orleans and graduated from Francis T Nichols High School, class of 1960. Her interested in clothing fashion and design lead to a long time career at Saks Fifth Avenue, New Orleans where she was an assistant manager of the Woman’s Designer Salon.
Sandra was a loving homemaker and served as room mother for her daughters while they attended Clifton L Ganus School. She specialized in cooking Louisiana dishes, including seafood and gumbo. She had her own book of recipes.
She lovingly raising her children to grow into successful professionals and in her later years, she devoted much of her time, love, and affection to caring for her grandchildren.
Sandra brightened everyone’s world with her radiant smile and with her compassion for others. That kindness and love will live forever in the hearts of those who knew her…especially her husband, David.
Funeral arrangements will be private.
