Betty Johnston Babin passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Allen L. Babin. Betty is survived by her four children Allen L. “Jed” Babin, Jr. (Glenda), Bert Babin, Stephen Babin (Merrill), Peggy Babin Indest (David); sister Audrey Perkins; seven grandchildren Stephanie, Courtney, Deborah, Herbert, Stephen, Jr., Mark, and Matthew; one great-grandson Luke. She is also preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Marguerite Johnston and sister Shirley Yates. Betty loved the sun on her face, sand under her feet, her family by her side, and a cocktail or two at the end of the day. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time.
