Betty Ferrara Currera

Betty Ferrara Currera passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday, November 16, 2015, Beloved wife of 65 years to Charles A. Currera. Devoted mother of CiCi Currera Casaly, Janis Papale (George), Lori Billon (Tim), and Curt C. Currera. Grandmother to Courtney Papale Newton (Chris), Brett Papale (Jodie), Jason Papale (Milla), Matt Papale, Nick Papale (Lauren), Kiva Mann (Matt), Kylie Casaly, Paul Billon (Kathy), and Brittany McVicker (Chase). Great-Grandmother to Mary Papale, Cianna Newton, Brielle Newton, Benaiah Mann, Khyber Mann, Parker Papale, Avery Papale, and Connor Billon. Also survived by many other loving relatives and dear friends.

Betty graduated from St. Joseph Academy and Dominican College. She was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Church Parish. She was a member of Chateau Golf and Country Club, Chateau Estates Garden Club, and Les Novelles Ladies Club. She was co-creator of We Care for Special People Inc.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 12:00p.m. until 2:00p.m. A Catholic Mass will follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in honor of Betty Ferrara Currera to Magnolia School at 100 Central Avenue, Jefferson, LA 70121.
