On Wednesday January 20th of 2016, Beverly Ransome Herrmann, age 79, passed away quietly in her home. She is preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Chatelain Ransome, father, Clyde Ransome, her brother, Clyde Thomas “Tommy" Ransome, nephew Duane Thomas Ransome and brothers in law, Joseph Gruner and Dean Kampe. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald Frederick Herrmann, her daughter, Wendy Stevens, son in law John Charles "Chuck" Stevens, her grandchildren, Michael David Stevens and Bethany Stevens, and her great grandchildren, Madelynn, Annalynn, and Michael. She is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Oldstein Gruner and Geraldine Kampe, a sister in law, Elaine Ransome, and many nieces,nephews. She graduated from Metairie High School in 1954. She was a life long resident of Jefferson Parish mainly in old Metairie until her illness brought her to St. Charles Parish to live with her daughter and her family in Hahnville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 12:00 NOON at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
