

Bonnie Rovira Milner, age 77, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 28, 1948, in New Orleans, Bonnie remained deeply connected to her hometown throughout her life.
A graduate of John McDonogh High School, Bonnie demonstrated her commitment to education when, twenty years after graduation, she began her studies at the University of New Orleans. Attending classes at night and on weekends while balancing family and other responsibilities, she ultimately earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a milestone that reflected her perseverance and dedication.
Later in life, she became an active and devoted member of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, where her faith and fellowship were important parts of her daily life.
Bonnie found joy in gardening, especially cultivating bromeliads, and she had a special talent for crafting and decorating her home. Her creativity and eye for beauty once earned her a neighborhood award, a testament to the warmth and welcome she created for all who entered her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney A. Rovira, Sr. and Marion Howell Rovira, and her sisters, Janet Ganucheau and Phyllis Chagnard.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, David Milner Sr.; her children, Michelle, David Jr., and Darren and his wife Danielle; her brother, Sidney A. Rovira Jr.; and her grandchildren, Olivia and Jacob. She took great pride in their accomplishments and happiness.
A memorial service will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie on Friday, February 27, with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. and the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
Bonnie will be remembered for her faith, creativity, resilience, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew her.
