It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Brandon Neal, who was called home to the Lord on July 10, 2025 at the age of 43. Though his journey on this earth held both joy and struggles, Brandon’s heart remained full of love and kindness.
Brandon was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Allen and Ann Neal; his uncle, Paul Neal; his stepfather, Bill Stone; his great grandparents, Joseph and Mary Ricaud; along with many cherished great aunts and uncles.
Born in New Orleans, Brandon brought joy, humor, and warmth to all who knew him. He took great pride in his work as a heavy equipment operator. Whether on the job or at home doing yard work, Brandon was happiest when he was behind the controls of a machine. Outside of work Brandon enjoyed simple pleasures in life like riding motorcycles, fishing, and spending time with his family, who meant everything to him.
Brandon faced life’s challenges with courage and heart. Though the road was not always easy, he never lost his generous spirit or his faith in God’s mercy. We trust that the Lord, who is all loving and compassionate, has welcomed Brandon and freed him from his pain and struggles.
He is survived by and will be forever loved and deeply missed by his mother, Gayle Neal; his brother, Robert Rabalais; his aunt and uncle, Lisa and Brad Thompson; his cousins, Spencer (Ebony), Benjamin (Kaleigh), Jacob (Natalie), and Hollie Thompson, and their children, Jai’Dyn, Serenity, Tate, Bradley Ann, Jayda, and Amiya; along with many beloved family members and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. As we entrust Brandon to God’s eternal care, we find peace in the comforting words of scripture and song:
“And He will raise you up on eagle’s wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun and hold you in the palm of His hands.”
May perpetual light shine upon Brandon, and may his soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the graveside service at All Saints Mausoleum (in Metairie Cemetery), 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 12:00PM.
